    Johnna emailed this question:

We are starting harvest and you indicated we do not want to use the Innovint program for additives, is that correct? My winemaker has been adding the costs as we purchase adds. Am I supposed to zero out all of the costs of our additives?

Correct, I do not recommend adding the cost of the additives in InnoVint. This is because the additives are part of the Cellar Cost Pool, so they are essentially getting included twice.

Of course, you absolutely want to use InnoVint to track the additions so continue using those actions in IV. You just want to stop including the cost when you receive those Dry Goods.

Fourtunately that cost is small, so there is no need to back the cost out. What you can do if you have the time is edit the Additions Batches that you received this year and enter zero for the cost of each batch.

    Good luck with harvest,
    Jeanette
